In 2017, we moved into a new home and found our backyard rather empty. After some discussion, my wife and I decided to purchase some outdoor products. We also realized that the sun in Dubai can be incredibly intense, so we started looking into shading solutions as well.

Over the next few days, my wife visited several local malls in Dubai, only to find that outdoor products were priced outrageously high—far beyond our budget. What’s more, she couldn’t find any shading products that really matched our style.

Hearing her frustration inspired an idea: why not source high-quality outdoor and shading products directly from manufacturers in China and Southeast Asia, and sell them both online and offline here in Dubai? This way, customers across the UAE could enjoy great products at reasonable prices. It felt like the perfect opportunity.

After more than six months of preparation, we opened our physical store (GC19) in Dragon Mart II, Dubai, and simultaneously launched our e-commerce website: raintrees.ae.

We specialize in acacia wood outdoor furniture from Vietnam and shading products from China—including sun umbrellas, tents, retractable awnings, and more.
